Welcome to Porterville!

At the heart of the most diversified agricultural area in the world...

Porterville is located in Tulare County, which produces agriculture products valued in excess of $300 million per year. Step back in time and visit the Porterville Historical Museum and be sure to see the Zalud House which stands as it was built in 1891. This historical setting offers a number of shops, restaurants, and there's even fishing at nearby Lake Success. Nearby, you can visit the Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park. There are more than 1200 campsites and a variety of lodging accomodations along with hiking, fishing, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoe walks, don't forget the great photo opportunities!

A couple of facts ...

Sequoia National Park was established in 1890. It is California's first National Park and is America's second oldest park.

The Barn Theater is California's longest running community theater with live dramatic performances.
